So I have a little bit of time on my hands before heading out so here goes the next update...

Spent this past weekend in Dub-C baby, so you know it was a good time. Had our sorority retreat on Saturday so Friday night some of my pledge class and Ashley chilled at Kaitlyns new apartment. Saturday, went to the retreat @ McJens house w/a few of the Jerzy girls. Afterwards we went to the mall, had dinner and watched Harold & Kumar(.. is that right?? haha) .. but ya know, the stupid movie about White Castle. Jackie came over a little after that and we met some of the neighbors on Dean Street. Saturday night turned out to be pretty interesting to say the least, but it was cool. Sunday, after coming home and going to mass, my family and I finallllllly finished up the downstairs!! Now it's just a matter of moving furniture and the finishing touches along with some cleaning which is no big. It's a shame it wasn't done sooner so that people could've come over more often, but whatcha going to do. good stuff though!

During the week, I've just been trying to keep myself busy and hang with friends as much as possible. Today is actually my mom's bday, I'm about to go see a movie w/her then we're going out as a family tonight... my dad won't tell me what exactly is planned though. Howdya like that?! haha. Ah well, in any case, Wednesday & Thursday .. def have to hang with some buds. Then Friday, it looks like I'll be going down the shore w/Pat & his family so that should be fun!! I have a feeling Saturday is going to be a crazy hectic day, our old neighbors are coming to visit and all my packing for school will have to be finished. Sunday we fly to Miami, then next week we'll be hitting Puerto Rico, St. Martens, St. Thomas, Bahamas on the Explorer of the Seas then visiting family in Miami. Supposedly we'll be returning around midnight on the 28th, then I move to Dub-C on the 29th, first day of classes! whoa... exciting times!

hope all is going well for everyone else! have fun!

Cape Cod was a good time. The Reunion went pretty well. A good portion of the family made it to at least 2 out of the 3 main events. My family arrived late Friday night, so Saturday we took a ferry out to Martha's Vineyard and had a tour/did some shopping. Around 4, Tim's family(the ones hosting the reunion) had a big clambake at their house with a pool and other activities like that. There were as many lobsters, clams, mussels and chicken as you could eat, along with a bunch of other sides, good stuff! The weather couldn't have been better so that was awesome. I'm not really even sure how many people were there, but definitely quite a few. With extended family, boyfriends/girlfriends, fiancees, family friends; eventually, I didn't even bother to figure out who was who. It's hard when you only see them all once every other year but ah well, they were all a riot. haha. Anyhow, most people left there around 11 or so, and some of us cuzs chilled back at the hotel. Sunday morning my family & I got up early to go to mass @ St. Patricks Church then met up with the rest at brunch. The food was amazing, just trust me.. it was good. haha. Afterwards, rather than hitting the beach and the local shops n such, my family headed back to NY to pick up our pup and visit w/the grents. Had some dinner on the porch while talking and watching Andy Roddick kick some butt then a Skills Challenge on ESPN which was insane. Finally, we headed home and got back last night. ...And actually, come to think of it, I believe we're going to stop by a relatives house down in FL on our way back from va-k for a big BBQ and such with all the family from down there.. so that should be cool to see them again in a few weeks.

Went for a fairly long bike ride with my bro this morning, then shot some hoops. Last Friday, my bro received permission to resume all activities so he can now run and play contact sports... my boot camp is about to begin again! woo! haha. Tonight I have my third and possibly final Ultimate Playoff Game with Pada. We're even having an actual practice beforehand, so I'm pumped!! I seriously hope it doesn't get rained out!! *fingers crossed*

Crazy how quickly school is approaching. I know that sounds cliche, but it really is hard to believe! I've gotten used to hanging out with friends practically every night. Even over this past weekend, I kinda missed them. Whatever shall I do for a week away on vacation?! haha.. somehow I think I'll manage, but it'll be tough!! Kinda sad that I won't see many of them, who don't go to school locally, until Thanksgiving or Winter Break. Hopefully I'll remain in close touch with at least a few of these peeps, but in any case, returning to school will definitely be an adjustment, but I'm more than ready to go back. Especially since camp is over, I'm kinda just chilling at home which can get annoying. I love my family but I'm definitely looking forward to my independence back at school. In addition, I'm really looking forward to seeing all the WCUers!!

until next time, much luv!

In Cape Cod for the weekend!!

Monday, August 01, 2005

To summarize the weekend in Cape May in one word: awesome! Definitely had a great time, gotta love the beach!! Layin out in the sun, frisbee, walks on the beach, shootin stars, cars pulling 360s(literally!) in Wawa parking lots, BBQ, relaxing, swimming, chilling w/some cool people.. what could be better?! so much for the one-word summary, but you get the idea haha... it was fun!

Trying to remember the past week, it feels like it was so long ago. Hmmm.... camp all week of course. Monday night we had our first Pada playoff game. It was crazy, the other team had to forfeit if i remember correctly, but they had us girls switchin between light & dark shirts every 2 points. Sound logical to you? Didn't think so, I didn't get it either haha. It was fun though. Then Tuesday, went to Hidden Hollow Swim Club with the camp kids. Nothing like having three or four kids trying to drown you at once lol...half-kidding there. No worries though, it was a blast! Later on Tuesday night, Ashley & I attempted some tennis(I'm totally serious about playin more often... all of yous, just wait...I'll get it down in no time ;) haha) then we headed over to Pat's for a swim with some of the S-field peeps. Afterwards, a few of us stayed & played some cards then called it a night. Wednesday... I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure thats the night that Ashley & I, again, headed over to Pat's ... played some catch-phrase with Adam, Pat & Ben. I don't think I've ever played so badly in my life lol, but it was still fun. Thursday night, I believe I just chilled at home, if not, I have no idea what went down.

This past weekend was incredible... Co-ed Ultimate Beach Tourney in Wildwood baby! hot stuff!! It would've been cool if a few others from home could've been down there as well, but I still had a great time! Our team record was 3-3 and we had some pick-up games thrown in here & there as well. The field conditions were ridiculously awesome, puddles & mud everywhere haha. And wow, Wildwood is definitely a hot spot for partying, let me tell ya. haha. I was surprised to see how many people I recognized down there too, very cool. Kevin actually came out to chill/play Sunday too, that was neat. All in all, other than an incident where we met the local cops haha (its all good, wasn't a big deal), it was amazing.

Seems as though a lot of people are headed in all different directions now then they'll all be back to school. O man.. in some ways, I never want summer to end, it has been such a blast. But at the same time, I'm definitely ready to go back to school, next semester will be just marvelous! This is the last week of camp... kinda sad, I'm going to miss all the youngins! But after camp, I have two free weeks of absolutely nothing, other than babysitting, so I'm totally plannin on checking some more things off the "to-do list" .. right Britt?! haha. We were discussing this on the way home from Wildwood, when she returns from Amsterdam, we want to get groups together to plan about a week straight of activities as a summer finale haha... including disc golf, possibly one last trip to the beach, clubbin, camping, boating, ultimate..just b/c that simply doesn't get old, volleyball and whatever other crazy, spur the moment ideas we get. We shall see what actually happens but the more the merrier, so if you're interested, y'all better jump on these adventures!!! After those two weeks, I'll be away for one more on vacation with my family which I'm stoked for, then back over to WCU baby!

Time is really flying by, live it up! much luv!
